JAKARTA, July 1 Asia Pulse -
Airlines serving domestic flights began to show
good performance this month after being jolted
with the price hikes of aviation gas.
Most airlines enjoyed peak season with high load
factor of 80 per cent-90 per cent, up from 75
per cent last week, a spokesman of PT Mandala
Airlines Alexius Wijoyo said.
Wijoyo attributed the good performance to school
holidays in June.
Data at the Communications Ministry showed that
some of the airlines have raised ticket prices
to above the reference tariff set by the
government.
Kartika Airlines said it has resumed operation,
utilizing more than 50 per cent of its seat
capacity after suspension in November, 2004.
